Kasper Bengtsson-Jensen has been appointed Group CEO of EasyTranslate Group, succeeding co-founder Frederik Riskær Pedersen, who has led the Danish language services group since founding it on his 22nd birthday in 2010.
Bengtsson-Jensen rises into the Group CEO role from his position as Chief Operating Officer, where he has spent the past ten years leading the group’s commercial and operational development.
Pedersen remains with the business as a board member.
A founder-built company enters its next phase
The leadership transition lands as EasyTranslate Group consolidates three brands under one roof: the EasyTranslate platform, the Danish translation agency World Translation, and Translated By Us.
Copenhagen-headquartered, the group has built the HumanAI platform, a language AI workflow combining human review with generative AI across translation, content generation, and certified document services, and has positioned it as the next step beyond the agency’s LSP roots.
Pedersen founded the company on October 1, 2010, when he was 22, and has led it through the entire arc from a basement office to a three-market group.
EasyTranslate announced the World Translation acquisition in September 2024 as the first Danish deal in its Nordic roll-up strategy. TranslatedByUs, the group’s UK-US brand, was acquired in March 2026 as the entry point for English-language buyers.
“After sixteen years, it felt like the time was right for me to step back from the day-to-day running of EasyTranslate and make room for its next chapter,” said Frederik Riskær Pedersen, Co-founder and Board Member, EasyTranslate.
Pedersen framed the move personally on LinkedIn. “I started EasyTranslate on 1 October 2010, when I was 22. Exactly sixteen years later, to the day, I’ve decided it’s time to step down as CEO,” he wrote, calling Kasper “my wingman of ten years.”

A ten-year insider takes the Group CEO seat
Bengtsson-Jensen’s promotion is the clear continuity move for EasyTranslate: a ten-year insider with the COO title already in hand, taking the Group CEO seat rather than recruiting from outside.
He moves into the role from his position as Chief Operating Officer, where he played a central role in the group’s commercial and operational development.
“I’ve worked alongside Frederik throughout and have had a front-row seat as EasyTranslate evolved from a language service provider into a technology company,” said Kasper Bengtsson-Jensen, Group CEO, EasyTranslate. “I’m grateful for his and the board’s trust in me to lead the next chapter.”
Bengtsson-Jensen pointed to AI as the next pressure point. “AI is transforming our industry again, and with HumanAI, three brands and an experienced team, we have a strong foundation for the future.”
Pedersen will support Bengtsson-Jensen and the rest of the leadership team from the board seat.
